In the past few years, net red small household appliances have been hot because of their appearance. But recently, their reputation has begun to reverse, and they have been complained about by many consumers.
On the second-hand platform idle fish, many sellers hung out small household appliances such as bread machines, health pots, and electric ovens, and marked them with the labels of "new" and "90% new". Some used it once or twice to eat ash, and some said that it was idle too much... It can be seen that many small household appliances are not just needed. According to the statistics of Aowei Cloud Network, the retail sales of small kitchen appliances such as electric pressure cookers and juicers will be 51.4 billion yuan in 2021, down 14.1% year-on-year; retail sales will be 237.44 million units, down 13.5% year-on-year. In the offline market, the sales of small household appliances have also encountered difficulties.
Zhang Qingxia, supervisor of Suning Tesco Nanjing Xinjiekou Huaihai Road store, introduced that the hottest time for such small household appliances was in 2018 and 2019. In terms of the recent market, it is down 10% to 20% compared with 2018 and 2019.
Small appliances are small in size, and their practicality and quality will be compromised. In the statistical results of the complaints accepted by the National Consumer Association in 2021 released by the China Consumer Association, the number of complaints about household electronic appliances ranked first, of which the number of complaints about small household appliances in kitchen appliances exceeded 10,000. In March 2022, the Consumer Protection Commission of Jiangsu Province carried out a comparative analysis of mini small household appliances and found that some small household appliance manufacturers only purchased parts from different places to piece together, lacking quality control.
Gong Yongzhuang, a staff member of the Consumer Protection Commission of Jiangsu Province, said: "According to our survey, the respondents said that most of the mini small household appliances have no safety problems. However, in terms of functionality, due to the size problem, some mini small household appliances will have some gaps. For example, thermal insulation performance, standby energy consumption, and actual volume will be deviated. We hope that consumers will buy mini small household appliances according to actual needs, and not be one-sidedly attracted by their appearance. ”
After the explosion of small household appliances, is gradually returning to rationality. Although the overall sales of small household appliances are declining, some small household appliances with technical content and strong functionality are rising because they truly meet the real needs of consumers. For example, the sales of household cleaning products are growing rapidly.
In addition, smart home appliances represented by stir-frying machines and window cleaning machines have gradually increased sales because they can save consumers time and energy. Xu Xuelu, secretary general of the Jiangsu Home Appliance Association, also believes that small household appliances should work intelligence and functionality to meet the needs of consumers in order to change the impression of disposable electrical appliances.
Xu Xuelu said: "Single-function small household appliances are basically replaced by multi-functional household appliances, which is a trend. The future development trend of small household appliances, one is fashion, catering to consumer psychology; the second is the integration to multi-functional development, a little more functions; the third is more Internet intelligence. Such small appliances are more popular. ”
Small household appliances are limited by size and function, and it is impossible to meet the needs of everyone. Before you place an order, you must think again about whether the things you want to buy can meet your needs, and don't add an unwanted thing because of a momentary impulse.
