Yuanrong's pre-installation plan was put into autonomous driving operation at a cost of less than $10,000

On April 20, Yuanrong Qixing L4 automatic driving pre-installation solution fleet landed in Shenzhen, which is composed of 30 autonomous vehicles and will be put into Yuanrong Qixing's RoboTaxi operation in Shenzhen. The fleet is equipped with DeepRoute-Driver 2.0, Yuanrong Kaixing's latest L4 level autonomous driving solution for front-loading and mass production. It is reported that the solution is the lowest cost L4 autonomous driving solution in the industry, with a cost of less than $10,000 and failing to reduce it by another 70%.

According to reports, the front-loading scheme of the Yuanrong departure, the body of each car is embedded with 2 to 5 solid-state lidar and 8 cameras. In terms of computing power, DeepRoute-Driver 2.0 is equipped with NVIDIA DRIVE Orin vehicle-grade chip, and the overall power consumption is controlled at 150 watts. The system's precise sensing distance is more than 200 meters. It also has a purely visual redundant perception system, which can also adaptively drive autonomously according to safety policies in the event of partial sensor failure.

Zhou Guang, CEO of Yuanrong Qixing, said: "In addition to creating safe and reliable technology, there are many problems that need to be solved to achieve mass production of autonomous driving, among which how to achieve cost reduction and efficiency increase is the most practical problem. DeepRoute-Driver 2.0 currently costs less than $10,000, and on the basis of ensuring system performance, the cost of the entire autonomous driving system can be reduced by another 70% after large-scale cooperation with car companies. ”

Zhou Guang revealed that at present, Yuanrong Qixing has carried out technical cooperation with a number of OEMs. It is expected that by 2024, cars equipped with Yuanrong's L4 level automatic driving solution will begin mass production and enter the market on a large scale, when the vehicle will take the lead in achieving L4 level automatic driving in areas with rich data accumulation, and continue to accumulate data in other areas in the mode of human-machine co-driving, and then gradually release L4 level automatic driving capabilities, and finally achieve automatic driving in more regions.
