The most beautiful April day on earth, only reading can not bear. This year, 23 April marks the 27th World Book Day, known as World Book and Copyright Day, also known as World Book Day. The original idea came from the International Publishers Association. On November 15, 1995, April 23 was officially designated as World Book and Copyright Day.
Its purpose is to promote more people to read and write, hoping that all people can respect and thank the literary, cultural, scientific and ideological masters who have made great contributions to human civilization and protect intellectual property rights. Every year on this day, more than a hundred countries around the world hold a variety of celebrations and book promotion activities.
Purpose of establishment
UNESCO's choice of 23 April as World Book Day was inspired by a beautiful legend. April 23 is the day of the death of the Spanish literary magnate Cervantes and the feast of Saint George, a popular festival in Catalonia. The same day is the birthday of american writer Nabokov, French writer Maurice De Rouen, Icelandic Nobel Prize winner Laksnes and many other writers, so it seems "right" that this day has become a global book day.
Purpose of establishment
World Book Day was established to hope that people living in the diaspora around the world, whether you are old or young, whether you are poor or rich, whether you are sick or healthy, can enjoy the pleasure of reading, and can respect and thank the masters of literature, culture, science and thought who have made great contributions to human civilization.
