Xia Daoyan, a native of Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, was born in 1948. Since childhood, he has been practicing brush writing, and in his youth, he loved calligraphy and poetry, and often filled in words for assignment. Calligraphy starts from Ming Tang Yin and Wen Zhengming, and also learns the ancient and modern masters of the Fa Ti. He also often makes small letters, writes a thousand words a day, perseveres, and works tirelessly.
