According to Electronek, Tesla changed its long-standing policy to provide mobile charging cables for each car, and instead, it began selling charging cables, of which $400 for Level 2 cables and $275 for Level 1 cables.

Charging is one of the biggest concerns for EV buyers, so it makes sense for Tesla to install a mobile charging cable on every car it sells. The built-in charging kit has been improved over the years. Charging cables used by Tesla in the past include NEMA 14-50 (Class 2) connectors and ordinary socket connectors (Level 1).
