At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Long Yonghua's ancestor Gaozu began to work as a stonemason in order to solve his livelihood; later, his great-grandfather Long Xinghong settled in Shifang and carved stone as a profession, because Shifang was an immigrant city, and there were guild halls and ancestral temples to be built at any time, and Long Xinghong followed the class to apprentice. As an adult, Long Xinghong gradually won the reputation of "Dragon Stone Stoned Craftsman in Front of the Mountain" in the construction and repair of guild halls, temple societies and theaters in Xujiachang, Wuzhutuo, Yongxingchang and other places; his grandfather Long Tiande inherited the family business since childhood, and gradually innovated the special techniques of Rolling hammer and jumping hammer with three-dimensional effects on the basis of his father's traditional techniques of chiseling, grinding, pushing, compounding, and hammering, so that Long's stone carvings shined brightly; his father Long Daomingzi inherited his father's business, and his footprints set foot in 14 counties in western Sichuan, so that the counties and counties had Long's stone carvings.
With the great-grandfather and grandfather's speculation and accumulation of stonemason craftsmanship, as well as his father's improvement and development of skills, in Long Yonghua's generation, he began to delve deeply into theory, and the accumulation of more than 30 years of stone carving made him quickly become a master of stone carving skills, and his calligraphy and carving works are well-known.

The yearning for stone carving art began in Long Yonghua's childhood, he loved calligraphy and fine arts since he was a child, liked carving skills, because his ancestors were stonemasons, Long Yonghua had a strong interest in stone carvings from an early age. When he was a teenager, he studied stone carving techniques with his father. "My father always did this, and whenever he heard the sound of 'bells and bells', he felt very pleasant, and later he and his father went to the surrounding area of Shifang to do rural work." Long Yonghua recalled.
From a young age, he knew that this craft had to endure loneliness, and Long Yonghua insisted on studying every day, and his handiwork was unremitting, sometimes a moment was a whole day. At the end of the day, his body was full of dust, and even if he wore a mask, he would inevitably inhale a lot of dust. "From processing carving and tracing content to engraving and rubbing, a complete set of procedures will take at least a month for a stone stele, and the whole process of carving requires patience." Long Yonghua said that when making stone carvings, it is necessary to be as meticulous as dust, and the mental strength and physical strength must be able to keep up.
In 1991, Long Yonghua, a college graduate, organically integrated computer graphics processing technology with traditional stone carving techniques. Through in-depth study of traditional theoretical knowledge, he has accumulated rich experience in engineering management and stone processing engraving through in-depth study of traditional theoretical knowledge and proficiency in the use of modern graphics processing software. "I started in this industry after I graduated and have been doing it with great concentration and care. We in Shifang are also the 'hometown of Chinese calligraphy', and there are many calligraphy teachers who often come to see our carvings and give us professional guidance. Long Yonghua said.
Although the stone carvings are monotonous and boring, for more than 30 years, Long Yonghua has enjoyed it tirelessly, and his stone carvings have not only been praised by calligraphers and owners, but also with his footprints covering the entire Western Sichuan Plain, the reputation of "Chuanxi Divine Chisel" has been recognized by more and more people.

"Our hand-carved has a soul and a mind, and every word, every stroke, every point, every flying white, every turn represents an artistic conception. Because we are all doing stone carving craftsmanship, I want to pass on this technology well, carry it forward, let more people participate, and let more people understand how the inscription is made. Long Yonghua said. In addition to passing on long's stone carving skills to his children, Long Yonghua has also trained and guided many stone carving enthusiasts and practitioners, both in his hometown and in other places.
