Chengdu Du Fu Caotang Museum currently has hundreds of thousands of copies of Du Shi engraved and manuscripts, Japanese and Korean engraved Chinese texts and various foreign languages, which is the most concentrated collection of Du Shi editions at home and abroad.

Red Star News reporter learned through the Chengdu Du Fu Caotang Museum that from today (February 15), the ancient books in the collection of the Chengdu Du Fu Caotang Museum can be consulted, and some rare Du Fu Caotang editions of the collection have been selected for full-color image digitization construction, and will be announced to the public in an orderly manner. The relevant staff of the Du Fu Caotang Museum told reporters, "We have been practicing the practice of 'to make the cultural relics collected in the Forbidden Palace, the heritage displayed on the vast land, and the characters written in ancient books come alive.'" Therefore, we have digitized some of the ancient books in the collection so that visitors can come to Du Fu Caotang to read in detail the culture of a thousand years ago. If the ancient books that visitors want to read are not in the digital category, they can also tell us to make unified planning. ”

The methods for consulting the ancient books in the collection are as follows:

1. The ancient books of the museum are divided into two parts, digitized and unredecoded, and at present, only electronic resources or existing photocopy ancient books reading services are provided (see Annex I). Readers should make an appointment three working days in advance, and information such as introduction letters and book titles can be sent to the mailbox ([email protected]) of the collection storage department of the library so that the staff can handle the relevant procedures in a timely manner.

2. After the reservation is successful, readers can go to the collection storage department of the library to check (they need to purchase their own tickets). First-time visitors are required to bring their original identification and letter of introduction. When inspecting, please store all kinds of backpacks, handbags, etc. in the bag office, and do not bring food or drinks into the reading room.

3. Those who need to copy images of ancient books should follow the "Application Flow Chart for Copy of Digital Information Materials" in Annex II of these Measures.

4. Those who really need to consult the museum's non-digitized ancient books can send an email to make requests. The Library will be considered in the context of future digitalization.

5. The final interpretation right of these Measures shall be owned by the Du Fu Caotang Museum in Chengdu.
