Learn about the Nuclear Safety Act and protect the safety of the people
On September 1, 2017, the 29th session of the Standing Committee of the 12th National People's Congress passed the Nuclear Safety Law of the People's Republic of China, which came into effect on January 1, 2018. Here are a few things that get us into nuclear safety:
What kind of material does our country define as nuclear material?
Second, since we have seen nuclear materials, let us understand the Nuclear Safety Law, the Nuclear Safety Law is used to prevent, mitigate and eliminate the risk of nuclear radiation accidents that may occur in the development and utilization of nuclear energy and nuclear technology, and thus protect human beings and the environment from improper radiation hazards. A major function of the Nuclear Safety Law is to adjust the control relationship between nuclear energy and the development and utilization of nuclear technology. The purpose of the legislation is: first, to ensure the safe use of nuclear energy and ensure the safety of nuclear facilities and materials; second, to prevent and respond to nuclear accidents; third, to protect the safety and health of nuclear-related personnel and the public; and fourth, to protect the environment.
3. This Law shall apply to activities in which the scope of application is within the territory of the People's Republic of China and other maritime areas under the jurisdiction of the People's Republic of China, and the adoption of adequate safety measures such as prevention, protection, mitigation and supervision of nuclear facilities, nuclear materials and related radioactive wastes to prevent nuclear accidents caused by technical, man-made or natural disasters and to minimize the radioactive consequences in the case of nuclear accidents.

The vitality of the law lies in its implementation, and the authority of the law also lies in its implementation. We should take concrete action, deeply understand the relevant contents of the Nuclear Safety Law, fully implement the Nuclear Safety Law, adhere to the principle of ensuring safety, earnestly assume the responsibility for nuclear safety, continuously strengthen nuclear safety capacity building, always put nuclear safety in the first place, continuously improve the level of nuclear safety management, and make due contributions to safeguarding national security, protecting the health of the public and practitioners, protecting the ecological environment, and promoting the healthy development of the mainland's nuclear industry.
