The only surviving Qing Dynasty mint in Beijing, such as "Kangxi Tongbao" and "Qianlong Tongbao", many of which were minted from this courtyard, has a three-room one-open gatehouse, which is the highest specification gatehouse in the hutong. After reasonable ancient law repair, the gate tower and shadow wall of Dongzuo Factory can be truly reproduced.

During the Daoguang years, Yu Qian vigorously advocated the resistance to the British, and in the Battle of Zhenhai, the city of Zhenhai was destroyed, and Yu Qian threw water and martyred the country, and was the highest-ranking courtier among the victims of the Opium War. Not far to the west, Yuqian House is the former residence of Xu Shichang, the famous "Wenzhi President" of the Republic of China. Xu Shichang's knowledge of traditional Chinese studies is very deep, and he has written a lot in his life, and when he lived here, he also set up a "book compilation office", and the small building in the courtyard of his former residence was also used by him as a library building.

Chongli was a chancellor of the late Qing Dynasty, and during the Guangxu dynasty, he was a scholar of Wenyuange University.
Today, Nos. 63 and No. 65 of Rokujo are separated by brick walls, but in the old days they were chongli residences. Chongli Residence covers an area of 10,000 square meters, east and west are a four-entry large quadrangle, the back door leads directly to the east of the four seven, the middle of the garden, there are rockeries, pavilions, ancient trees and so on. In addition, Sha Qianli, known as one of the "Seven Gentlemen", once lived at No. 55 Higashi-46-jo.

After liberation, this courtyard became the dormitory of the Bayi Film Studio, where many well-known literary and artistic workers lived.
