As early as the HDC conference, Huawei announced the open source roadmap plan of Hongmeng System, which is oriented to terminal devices with memory of 128KB-128MB in 2020, mainly IoT smart devices. April 2021 for devices with 128MB-4GB of memory, mainly devices like smart touchscreen speakers. October 2021 is available for all devices over 4GB, namely mobile phones and tablets.
Recently, in the leaflet of Huawei's Hongmeng OS Ecosystem Alliance, Xiaomi Technology appeared. It is reported that Xiaomi has joined the Huawei Hongmeng ecological camp and will launch Mijia smart devices that access the Hongmeng system in the future. In addition, Meizu has taken the lead in joining the Hongmeng camp last year, but its influence is not as big as Xiaomi.
With the addition of Xiaomi, it is believed that the strength of Huawei's Hongmeng system camp will increase significantly, as Huawei said: "HarmonyOS joins hands with partners to win the next decade of the mobile industry." Even if Google does not allow domestic mobile phone manufacturers to use the Android system in the future, at least there is Huawei's Hongmeng system behind it.
