The size of the painting is also rare in the history of Chinese painting, with a width of 9 meters and a height of 5.5 meters.

In mid-September 1959, Premier Zhou came to the Great Hall of the People to make a final examination. The prime minister carefully observed the large painting from all angles, and put forward opinions on the premise of praise: the frame hanging in the Great Hall of the People is still slightly smaller, in addition, the sun should be doubled and colored with the best cinnabar to maintain its brilliance forever.
After listening to the prime minister's advice, the two painters immediately began to modify the painting, expanding the frame to 9 meters wide and 6.5 meters high, and doubling the sun in the painting. They worked day and night until late September to basically complete this masterpiece.
"So Many Petite Rivers and Mountains" part
On September 27, Chairman Mao, who had returned to Beijing from other places, wrote six words for the painting title: "There are so many delicacies in the rivers and mountains." This is the only inscription mao zedong wrote for painting in his lifetime.
Cooperation between "Big Painter" and "Little Blacksmith" Wang Shicen and Chu Yanqing Iron Painting "Welcoming Song"
Coincidentally, in the VIP reception hall of the Great Hall of the People, there is also a "welcome pine", but it is an iron painting. This iron painting is a combination of a large painter and a small blacksmith, and was jointly completed by Wang Shicen, a famous Xin'an painter in Anhui Province, and Chu Yanqing, a folk iron painting artist.

At that time, Wang Shicen wore gauze socks on his feet, stood on a huge piece of rice paper with a vertical 2.5 meters and a width of 4.5 meters, and worked hard to change his manuscript several times. When the drawing was finally completed, Chu Yanqing took his eight apprentices and dozens of workers to move the production workshop to the Hefei Model Factory and forge according to the drawing.
The combination of the branches of the iron painting "Welcome Pine" to the trunk is incomparable, overlapping and overlapping. The rings of scales on the branches, convex and concave, light and dark, are exactly the effects of hammer marks of various shapes. Each of its small branches is forged in a group of 60 to 80 pine needles.
At that time, there was no welding machine, all by hand, forged one by one, and then processed into pine flowers and pine branches, which consumed countless man-hours. When connecting the main branches, the workers synthesize the branches that have just been burned red from the furnace together while they are hot, which lasts only a few seconds, requiring the cooperation of many people and the same pace.
In the end, a masterpiece of 200 kilograms of wrought iron, forged with the most primitive, time-consuming and labor-intensive forging steel technology, was finally completed. After the production of "Yingke Song" was completed, it was sent to the Anhui Hall of the Great Hall of the People. Soon, Premier Zhou Enlai went to the Anhui Hall to watch and greatly appreciated: "This iron painting is so well done!" Chen Kezhi spent more than a month composing the "Three Gorges Morning Song", and only slept for two or three hours a day.
Because it could not be folded, Chongqing later found an elongated car to transport the 5.7-meter-long and 1.5-meter-wide "Three Gorges Morning Song" to Beijing without rolling, and it became the first oil painting to hang in the Great Hall of the People.
