AEW wrestling star Brody King, in a recent interview with the AEW podcast, in which the black house member talked about the story behind his joining AEW.
Brodigin revealed that after ROH had previously announced a suspension of broadcasting (now relaunched by AEW acquisition), everything happened fairly quickly.

Brody King believes that things have begun after his friend Maraque Blake left WWE, and Blake hopes to test their chemistry in the ring.

Brodigin then recalled his appearance backstage before signing the AEW formal contract, when guys backstage were always asking him if he was ready to make the show, but everything was officially agreed around the time of Fully Armed 2021.
"So, it was around Thanksgiving for Full Gear, and we got an agreement."
"It's funny because I've been back in the AEW backstage for a long time, when everyone in the backstage was asking me if I was going to do anything tonight and my answer was no, even though my pen was already on top of the contract at the time."
Brody King also talked about his name in the wrestling world, which was inspired by the late AEW wrestler Brody Lee, who at the time was playing Luke Harper in WWE, so he felt the name could be used.
"I've been watching Brody Lee's indie work."
He said: "As far as the big guys are concerned, Luke Harper [Brody Lee] is very influential to me, he can do any crazy move and become an incredible character, and he was at WWE at the time, so I thought, since you became Luke Hubble, then I became Brody King. ”
