The original version of eldon's Law Ring had a dream collection mechanism

The Elden Ring once had a gameplay that allowed players to collect dreams from sleeping enemies.

The news was provided by Souls game fan, MODER and streamer Lance McDonald, who delved into Elden Ring and found cuts from the final version.

Last year's online beta version of the game included some sleeping enemies removed from the final game, and McDonald used this version to test this mechanic.

In the Scavenger's Hut, a (now cut out) monk character will initially be found, who asks the player to find Dreambrew's material, the nectar of the demigod, to "uncover someone's deepest and darkest secrets".

He will then give the player an item called the Santa Trina Crystal Ball, which the player can use to collect the Dream Fog of enemies who are in deep sleep, who are identified by the surrounding fog while sleeping.

McDonald collects two Mist of Dreams and gets the Wine of Dreams in return, which can then be given additional conversation options to NPCs. For example, he tested this on a businessman character who fell asleep after drinking alcohol, accompanied by a new conversation, "whose sleep was disturbed by the nightmare of a feverish flame burning".

It is thought that this mechanism will be used to uncover additional (and now unused) secrets and assign a complete mission to the already de-erased monastic role.
