A new patch to Elden Ring has fixed bugs when the game's PlayStation 5 is saved.
The 1.02.2 update is already available on PC and PS5 and addresses an issue where game progress on PS5 doesn't always save automatically if the console version of the game crashes, or if the plug is unplugged in break mode.
Bandai Namco, the publisher of Eldon's Ring of Law, has previously told players to make sure they "manually save the game by periodically exiting the game" and "use the option buttons to open the system menu and opt out of the game."
On PCs, the patch fixes an issue where a graphics card is not being used, which causes slow performance. Other anomalies, including the fire giant's problem causing the crash, were also resolved.
Last week, after playing the game on the PlayStation 5, the review press awarded Elden Ring a rare Essential honor, calling the game a "magnificent, mysterious open world."
However, Digital Foundry criticized the PC version of the game, writing: "The PC performance of Elden Ring is simply not good enough, and frame drops must be optimized."
In any case, patch fixes are gradually being released, which is also a good opinion for players, after all, the game is perfect.
