Wang Jinxian was born in 1996 in Wuhan, Hubei Province, and at the age of 10, he left his hometown to come to Dalian, the city of football, for his football dream, and studied under Cheng Xianfei, the godfather of Dalian football youth training. In 2011, he was selected for the Chinese U16 Junior Team to participate in the Preliminary Round of the Asian Junior Championship held in North Korea, making 4 appearances and scoring 3 goals, and participated in the Asian Junior Championship held in Tehran, Iran in September 2012.
