April will be an eventful month at sea, and this update will end the Forgotten Fortress book while offering some erratic new trinkets to the Pirate Arcade – and we won't forget the latest list of fixes, improvements, and balances.
Pirate Department Store
April's Department Store Replenishment explored the concept of recycling, with powder kegs desperately being reused for decoration. The latest emoji includes another monthly freebie, and the sixth season of loot passes is still on sale!
Barrel pitcher vessel
Use volatile barrel pitcher vessels to carve out a new route at sea! In addition to the main barrel pitchers, explosive collectors' bows and collector's sails can be purchased separately.
A barrel pitcher base pack is also available, which includes only core ship cosmetics sold at a discounted price.
Barrel pitcher costume
This soot-stained garment is dotted with wicks, leads and various flammable materials, so don't stand near an open flame when wearing this garment! The costume contains three variants.

Legend Week
The week-long Sea of Thieves 1 Million Pirate Legend Milestone Celebration will conclude with a special weekend of gold and glory: from April 8 to 11 (170 pm Beijing time), legends will receive double gold and prestige, handing over treasure to mysterious strangers, while April 10 offers all players a more traditional day of doubling up gold, prestige and prestige.

Gameplay improvements
Improved harpoon aiming assist
Harpoon now has an improved aiming assist when aiming at loot, making it more likely for players to grab the target treasure rather than just hit nearby sand.

Emerald Empire Leader Set
The Trading Post Clothing Store now stocks Emerald Empire Leader Costume Sets, which can be purchased with gold.
Twilight Hunter costume set
The Clothing Shop now stocks the Nippori Hunter Costume Suit, which can be purchased with gold when honored by the Cursed Captain Hunter level. Players who watch twitch drops in Season Five may have already obtained items from this costume under their previous Twilight Hunter name, and will retain these items that bear their modified Twilight Hunter name.

Fish name narration
Players who use "Let the game read to me" when fishing will now find that the fish's name is narrated when it surfaces. Although this feature is enabled by default, this specific narration can be disabled using Tell the Fish Brand in the in-game language settings.
Expression narration controls
Players who use Let the game read to me can now specifically disable emoticon narration in the game settings to reduce audio overload.

Sea of Thieves now supports Thai localization for the entire game. Players can now choose Thai from the in-game language settings.

Gameplay
The Veteran Sailor Prestige tab will now be visible to players who have completed at least one Full Completion Recognition at any level.
Players can no longer bypass the lame leg restrictions of broken legs by using automatic movement.
Snakes and pigs don't cause Captain of the Sea Fortress to be relegated, now rewarded with the right season of prestige.
Ammo bags dropped by skeletons will now disappear from the island after the crew has left.
Players will no longer catch small pond fish in blackwater enclaves.
Strongholds at sea
In addition to the Grim Reaper Envoy, maps in the stronghold now show ships flying the Grim Reaper Flag.
Players are no longer able to refresh sea treasures in the treasure chest by placing themselves in the environment.
Inactive sea fortresses no longer show a flag raising.
Players are no longer able to sell the Sea Fortress Key to a trading company in exchange for gold and prestige.
Players using the Sea Fortress Winch should no longer experience camera lag when spinning the mechanism.
The double-storey rooms of the Traitor's Fortress of Destiny no longer have a floating barrel.
The vault door is now correctly mounted on the hinge.
When viewed from a distance, the store door key no longer shines through the door.
In the old Saltwater Stone Fortress, the lower level fence should now prevent the player from swimming through when closed.
In some places, the player can no longer climb the walls of the fortress.
Detaching from the Fortress Cannon should no longer cause the player to teleport safely.
Players should no longer be able to find ways to get inside the stronghold's dock pillars and move inside.
The sunken kingdom
The Sunken Kingdom Reward that requires the player to complete the Kraken's Treasury is now correctly unlocked when completing the required conditions.

"Cursed Captain" – Players should no longer fall off the floor when they travel from the armory to the doorway corridor.
Until the Wilderness's Treasure Chest Secret is unlocked, players can no longer access its treasure chest.
Players should no longer be trapped in the tree at the end of the flames.
Inside the Legendary Pirate Hideout, players should no longer be able to traverse environments and appear in the sea.
Players should no longer be launched into the air while looting between the rocks of the trading post.
Players should be able to continue to move freely after jumping up the tree of the Morro Peak Trading Post.
While exploring a looting trading post, players should no longer find a floating meadow in the bay.
While exploring the legendary pirate hideout, pets should no longer be blocked by invisible obstacles as they leave the entrance to the waterfall cave.
Treasure can no longer be placed inside the Grim Reaper Vault to prevent any player from accessing its location.
Video and audio effects
Swimming to the beach and rushing out of the water should no longer cause the player to animate showing their arms sticking to the sides of the body.
In the Prestige tab, commendations with Blue Coin Rewards can now correctly display their currency quantities.
The Grim Reaper mark symbol on the legendary ship is finally symmetrical.
Sand Sea, Kraken, and Polaris Machetes now show trajectories when in use.
Killing critters while they are running will no longer cause them to slide over the ground.
Repairing the damaged Spring Blossom Rudder Wheel will now visually display the attached wooden poles after the repair.
The Disable Chinese Setting now correctly affects where text can be in all positions throughout the UI.

Known issues
Letters of recommendation
In the April 2.5.1 update, players will find themselves unable to purchase new testimonials. Don't be afraid – letters of recommendation will be available later this month.
Reduce server performance
Players may encounter random encounters with jumping pings while playing the game, resulting in rubber man or client stuttering.
Steam achievement unlock issue
Some Steam players may find that after unlocking achievements in the game, they are not unlocked within Steam.
Ranged and melee weapon hit feedback
In areas of intense action, players may find that their shooting or landing attacks will not cause damage to the target. While small improvements continue to be provided in our regular updates, we are continuing to investigate and identify further improvements to the player's combat experience.
