According to Forbes, many of the richest people have seen their wealth shrink this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the war and the collapse of the stock market. The list shows that there were 2,668 billionaires worldwide in 2022, down from a record 2,755 last year. The total wealth of this year's list reached $12.7 trillion, down from $13.1 trillion last year.

Still, 236 "newcomers" made the billionaire list this year, including American pop singer Rihanna, the film "Lord of the Rings" director Peter Jackson, and Former U.S. President Trump's son-in-law's younger brother Joshua Kushner.
