Heavy! Hearthstone's new year is the Year of the Multi-Headed Snake, and the Original Explorers Association returns to standard!

The 23.0 patch is officially launched today, drawing the route for the upcoming expansion pack "Exploring the Sunken City" that will be launched on April 13th! This patch also brings updates to Tavern Wargame, Mercenary War, Duel and Competitive modes, as well as bug fixes and more.

Heavy! Hearthstone's new year is the Year of the Multi-Headed Snake, and the Original Explorers Association returns to standard!

I. The New "Year of the Multi-Headed Snake"

The Year of the Multi-Headed Snake will officially begin on April 13, after the launch of "Exploring the Sunken City". This year, our focus is on supplementing and optimizing the current system, rather than adding new game modes. This includes specific optimization improvements, such as random hero skins and in-game reporting, as well as overall client optimizations.

1. Core series

This year's core series will also usher in the first update, 57 cards will exit the core, 72 cards will join the series - the core series will contain a total of 250 cards, 15 more than last year! The Original Explorers Association is about to return to standard mode! At that time, we will say goodbye to "Ashes of the Outer Lands", "Psychic Academy" and "Crazy Dark Moon Circus", and these extended series will be withdrawn from the standard mode environment.

57 exits

The above cards, which are currently only in the core series, will be merged into the Nostalgia series after the environment is retired, and can be made by themselves and used in Wild Mode.

72 new additions / adjustments

2. The future of mercenary warfare

Mercenary Chronicles will still get updates in each patch, including activities, balance changes, bug fixes, and general optimizations, but the team will put the main content in the X.4 patch update. So the next (yes, a large) batch of new mercenaries, bounties, and quests will be online in a few months. This change allows Mercenary Chronicles to have its own moments of importance, as does other major game modes. It also allows the team to focus on the optimizations that the player community has been calling for for for a long time.

This year, the team is planning to introduce a way to consume excess coins, test players' collections with a new full-level system with detailed content, a series of optimizations to the mission system, and launch more activities to continuously update bounties, regions and mercenaries. Quest system updates and a series of mercenary balance changes will be implemented first when patch 23.0 goes live. But that's just the beginning!

3. Tavern wargame season

Similar to Hearthstone's expansion pack cycle, Tavern Chess consolidates important time points into "seasons." These seasons will help players get a clear picture of when major changes start and end, including special events, keywords, or system changes. The first Tavern Wargame season will begin with patch 23.2. This season will bring a new keyword mechanic, a new minion type Naga, a new hero, and much more! Going forward, the team plans to continue to expand the decorative look of the Tavern Wargames this year and add a progression system to the Tavern Wargames sometime in the year.

2. 23.0 Patch

1. Card callback, a week of fairy fights

Over the years, we've made balance adjustments because many cards are too powerful in Standard Mode, but their intensity in Wild Mode isn't really as strong as it gets. The following cards will be retraced on April 6 for a rebalance change and reverted to Wild Mode on April 13 when Quest for the Sunken City is launched. Standard Mode players will have a week to indulge in these cards, and then wild players will be able to use these re-enhanced cards to start wild battles!

2. Tavern wargame update

New Hero: Inie Gillet

The new heroes will be officially unlocked on April 20, and players with wargame benefits can get an early access.

Balance adjustment: Walden Morning Embrace

Hero Skill: Good things become frost

Old: Passive. After Bob's Tavern is refreshed, copy and freeze one of the minions. NEW: Passive. After Bob's Tavern is refreshed, duplicate the highest-ranking Companion and freeze both Companions.

Walden's Water Wave Warriors (Walden Morning's companion)

Old: Good Thing Cream also gives the Replicator an attribute value equal to your Tavern Level. NEW: Good Things cream also makes these two companions gain attribute values equivalent to your Tavern Level.

3. Product update

Diamond Card Draketal: 3000 coins/158 YUAN

Wild Collection: Price 128

Wargame Sunken Treasure Collection: New chessboard "Shipwreck Bay" + New Strike Effect "Tidal Force" + 8 Sunken City-themed Wargame Hero Skins = Priced at 128 yuan.

The new percussion effect "Tidal Force" and the new checkerboard "Shipwreck Bay" can also be purchased separately for 30 and 50 respectively.

4, the arena rotation, remember the white prostitute ticket

When the expansion pack goes live on April 13, the in-progress Competitive Mode game will end and the new Competitive Mode season will begin. The card pool in Competitive Mode will rotate to the following card series:

Core Series

Explorers Association

Whispers of the Ancient Gods

The trial of champions

Assemble under Storm City

Ortrank's rupture

Discover the sunken city

5. Duel mode update

The current Showdown Mode season will end on April 6, the level will be reset to 0, and unfinished challenges will be settled.

The Explorers Guild and The OddAm Expansion Series will join the same day to build a pool of available cards, a pool of cards, and a pool of discovery effects.

Quest for the Sunken City will be added to the card pool and discovery pool with the patch on April 6, but will not be used to build the initial deck until the expansion pack is officially launched on April 13.

All original Core Series cards that exited the Core Series will be disabled from April 6 until the Core Series is updated on April 13. Cards that remain in the Core Series will still be available after the update, and cards that exit the Core Series will also work if they are from the available Card Series.

See below for new heroes available after the showdown mode starts the new season on April 6.

You can now choose from 5 different heroes instead of 4 at the start of the challenge.

6. Mercenary mode update

The task system redoes

Starting with patch 23.0, completing one mission in the Mercenary Quest Line will automatically advance you to the next. You can keep progressing through a mercenary's missions until you've completed all of that mercenary's missions!

The Mysterious Stranger is designed to give the player more quests, and since quests now advance automatically, we'll reduce his chances of appearing. He will still appear occasionally, offering you more quests after you abandon a mission or complete all of a mercenary's missions. If you have a blank task slot, you'll also get new tasks randomly when they refresh each day.

The system update is designed to allow players to get more of the quests they want, offering more quests overall, while allowing players to explore more engaging gameplay modes. For players who want to level up specific mercenaries, and for players who are always looking for new missions, we want the new system to help. We pay attention to the actual results of the new system and make adjustments if necessary. We're also working on a larger task system redo that we hope to share with you later this year.

New Mercenary: Benpol

Pembor is available for free in the "Quest for the Sunken City" bonus route. The Head of The Pembor Can be obtained in the Hearthstone Pass in Search of the Sunken City. Once the next expansion pack for The Sunken City is launched, The Penbol and its avatars can be purchased as mercenary wartime items.
