Since the start of construction of Lixiang Railway at the end of 2014, China Railway Kunming Bureau Group Co., Ltd. has adhered to the concept of green development, with the goal of building a green ecological and environmental protection plateau railway project, and making every effort to build a green and beautiful railway channel.
In order to protect the environment and reduce soil erosion, in accordance with the requirements of the Lixiang Section Headquarters of the West Yunnan Railway Construction Command, the participating units of the Lixiang Railway will choose the abandoned soil (slag) field in the process of construction to flow in the impermanent year and there is no geological disaster, and do not occupy forests and cultivated land. In the construction, strictly implement the environmental water conservation measures, in accordance with the principle of "first block and then abandon", give priority to the construction of the barrier project, peel off as much of the surface soil as possible, and then layer the abandoned soil from low to high. After the completion of the abandoned soil (slag), the interception and drainage facilities are completed in a timely manner, and the soil is covered with green in accordance with the reclamation plan. Eight sewage treatment stations were built on the whole line, more than 40 sedimentation ponds were built, about 105,000 cubic meters of support and protection facilities were built, and about 187,000 square meters of greening was planted.
