On April 5th, we ushered in the fifth of the twenty-four solar terms, the Qingming Festival. According to the Hundred Questions of the Ages, "All things grow at this time, all are clean and clear." Therefore, it is called qingming. ”
As a sign of phenological changes, the arrival of Qingming is a good time for spring ploughing and spring planting. Therefore, there are agricultural proverbs such as "before and after the Qingming Dynasty, point melons and plant beans" and "afforestation is better than qingming".
Different from the pure festival, the Qingming Festival is a traditional festival on the mainland and the most important festival of sacrifice, which is the day of ancestor worship and tomb sweeping.
"During the Qingming Festival, it rains a lot, and pedestrians on the road want to break their souls." Where is the restaurant? The shepherd boy refers to the apricot blossom village. "The Tang Dynasty poet Du Mu's "Qingming" describes the cold state of mind during the Qingming Festival. The Qingming Festival carries the thoughts of every Chinese for their deceased relatives, deceased friends and heroic martyrs.
According to the old customs, the Tomb Sweeping Festival should be done to sweep the tombs and pay tribute. People visited the graves of their ancestors, offered wine and fruit, planted new branches, added new soil, painted tombstones, and then prostrated their heads in worship.
Of course, before and after the Qingming Dynasty, everything sprouted and the grass and trees spat green. "Spring grass is born every year, and it is february and March." People are also happy to go out together at this time to explore the bright spring light. The same is true of the ancients, who went to the countryside in groups of three or five to enjoy the scenery and relax their minds, swinging, flying kites, bowing, planting willows, playing polo... Sweep away the fatigue of winter and embrace spring and Jingming to the fullest.
