Apple released iOS 15.4.1 some time ago, and its update log wrote that this version optimizes battery life performance.
So the well-known Youtuber @iAppleBytes tested the battery life performance of iOS 15.4.1 on 9 devices for our real machine.
The endurance test results were measured by Geekbench's built-in battery life test, which was 25% bright, turned off automatic brightness, fully charged to 100%, connected to the same Wi-Fi network, and restored with an iCloud backup.
The test results are as follows:
iPhone SE (1st Generation)
iOS 15.4.1: 2 hours 48 minutes (-4 minutes)
iOS 15.4: 2 hours 52 minutes
iOS 15.3.1: 2 hours 52 minutes
iPhone SE (2nd Generation)
iOS 15.4.1: 3 hrs 48 min ±0 min
iOS 15.4: 3 hours 48 minutes
iOS 15.3.1: 3 hours 14 minutes
iPhone 6S
iOS 15.4.1: 3 hours 17 minutes (+4 minutes)
iOS 15.4: 3 hours 13 minutes
iOS 15.3.1: 2 hours 32 minutes
iPhone 7
iOS 15.4.1: 3 hours 42 minutes (+9 minutes)
iOS 15.4: 3 hours 33 minutes
iOS 15.3.1: 3 hours 19 minutes
iPhone 8
iOS 15.4.1: 3 hours 27 minutes (+9 minutes)
iOS 15.4: 3 hours 18 minutes
iOS 15.3.1: 3 hours 9 minutes
iPhone XR
iOS 15.4.1: 4h 55m (-16m)
iOS 15.4: 5 hours 11 minutes
iOS 15.3.1: 5 hours 2 minutes
iPhone 11
iOS 15.4.1: 5 hours 16 minutes (-18 minutes)
iOS 15.4: 5 hours 34 minutes
iOS 15.3.1: 5 hours 13 minutes
iPhone 12
iOS 15.4.1: 6 hours 30 minutes (+18 minutes)
iOS 15.4: 6 hours 12 minutes
iOS 15.3.1: 6 hours 34 minutes
iPhone 13
iOS 15.4.1: 8 hours 0 minutes (-26 minutes)
iOS 15.4: 8 hours 26 minutes
iOS 15.3.1: 8 hours 34 minutes
Judging from the test results, the actual endurance performance seems to be somewhat uneven.
Among them, the older iPhone 6S, iPhone 7, and iPhone 8 have a slight increase in battery life, but the iPhone XR, iPhone 11 and the latest iPhone 13 have a large degree of endurance decline, of which the iPhone 13 has the highest endurance decline, reducing about 26 minutes.
Among the newer iPhones, only the iPhone 12 has a significant improvement in battery life, with a battery life increase of about 18 minutes.
Overall, the battery life of iOS 15.4.1 is not satisfactory, and it seems that Apple's repair of battery life has not worked.
