On the Qingming Festival, in the Henan Fushou Garden in Xinzheng, Zhengzhou, there are already sacrificers offering flowers in front of tombstones of different shapes, and the fragrance repeatedly conveys the mourning of the deceased. The different elements on each tombstone reveal the preferences of the deceased and the emotional sustenance of the living.

Or round or square, there are rough stones and metals, there are reliefs and shadow carvings... Most of these uniquely shaped, different craftsmanship, and artistic tombstones are from Han Guang and his team - they are tombstone designers, who return to the earth after their lives have passed, and the tombstones they designed engrave the information of the deceased and the thoughts of the living between the inches.

The 37-year-old Han Guang has been engaged in tombstone design for 10 years, majoring in landscape design as an undergraduate, and after entering the funeral industry, he has a deeper understanding and perception of life, and then turned to tombstone design work.

"The cemeteries in the public's impression are mostly tombstones 'forests', and the rows of black stone stele are solemn and solemn, which makes people feel unconsciously depressed." Han Guang said that tombstones are the carriers of information and emotions, and in recent years, more and more people hope that tombstones can be presented artistically, so the tombstone design is also recognized.

Unlike traditional art design, Han Guang believes that tombstone design faces life and death, and designers should be in awe. He said that for relatives, tombstones are the spiritual sustenance for preserving the voice and good memories of the deceased, and designers often have to spend more time listening to relatives tell the stories of the deceased, so that the tombstone design can be integrated into the glittering experiences, hobbies, and wishes of the deceased. "Without reverence, it is difficult to empathize with relatives, and the designed tombstones are also devoid of emotion."

Under the leadership of Han Guang, the reporter saw in FushouYuan, Henan, that the appearance of the tombstone is not limited to the traditional rectangle, there are novel scroll-like, eggshell-shaped, fan-shaped, oval-shaped, and randomly shaped natural stones. A tombstone can be integrated with relief, circular carving, hollowing, shadow carving and other artistic techniques, and the color of the stele is no longer a single black.

As the cemetery gradually develops in the direction of gardening and art, Han Guang said that the design of the tombstone should also consider the overall landscape planning of the cemetery. "Natural stone, stainless steel, metal, porcelain plates, etc. can be used by us, and sometimes in order to match the overall artistic design, they will also use crystal, glass and other embellishments."

In Fushouyuan, Henan, an oval eggshell-shaped white tombstone is impressive, and the design of this tombstone, Han Guang and the team, have spent a lot of effort.

"The deceased was a young physicist and sailing instructor, and many of the photos his mother sent us had sailboats in many of his lifetime, and we can feel the vitality of the young people and the courage to ride the wind and waves." Han Guang said that after many revisions, the tombstone was finally designed in an oval shape, like an eggshell, like returning to the original form of life incubation, the tombstone is in the middle of the deceased driving the back of the sailboat, and next to the tombstone is a micro-landscape of the laptop and mobile phone used by the deceased before his death.

Han Guang told reporters that the deceased's mother was satisfied with the effect of the tombstone, "We did our best to present her love, thoughts and pride for her son on the tombstone, which is also a kind of spiritual comfort for her." ”

The "private customization" of the tombstone requires a lot of time and effort, and every year, Han Guang and the team can only serve more than 100 families. In order to save land and environmental protection, they will spend more time on the design of finished tombstones, so that each tombstone is very distinctive between inches. The statue of the Second Emperor of Yanhuang, oracle bones, taiji, wheat ears, peonies, chrysanthemums and other Characteristic Elements of Henan, the artistic design of the Tong Hanguang team has been presented on the tombstone and welcomed by the market.

A subway, a poplar forest, a string of notes... Han Guang said that every seemingly ordinary picture on the tombstone leaves important traces in the lives of the deceased. He believes that if you want to do this job well, you must have a reverence for life, so that you can better perceive life and ultimately build an emotional bridge between the living and the deceased.
