Xavi kept the midfield configuration unchanged, Dembele and Ferran Torres continued to start, and Alves rotated. For Sevilla, Rakitic played against the old owners, and Martial and Gudley started.
Shortly after the opening, Busquets collided with Pique and was injured, but fortunately it was not a big problem. In the 7th minute, Araujo's long pass from midfield was deflected off the left wing by Ferran Torres. In the 12th minute, Dembele's cross from the right flank was met by De Jong's close-range header that went high over the top.
A minute later, Alves' cross from the right corner was met by Araujo's header that went high over the top.
On the 21st minute, Aubameyang picked out a pass and Alva fired high from a tight angle on the left side of the penalty area.
In the 39th minute, Alves' cross from the right flank was met by Ferran Torres, whose shot was blocked by the goalkeeper. In the 43rd minute, Pedri picked out a pass, Dembele's header sailed across, and Ferran Torres grabbed a slightly slower half-shot in front of goal.
