On the occasion of the 38th Voluntary Tree Planting Day in the capital, the Shijingshan District Landscaping Bureau held the "Exhibition of Calligraphy and Painting Works for the 40th Anniversary of voluntary tree planting for the whole people in Shijingshan District" at the District Cultural Center.
This activity was strongly supported by the District Literary Association, the District Elderly Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, the District Book Association, and the District Artists Association. Many calligraphy and painting enthusiasts responded positively, using delicate brushstrokes, unique perspectives and full enthusiasm to create more than 100 paintings and calligraphy works reflecting the 40 years of voluntary tree planting and greening achievements in Shijingshan District. A total of 40 works have won awards in the "40th Anniversary of Voluntary Tree Planting in the Capital" calligraphy and painting competition, including 2 first prizes, 4 second prizes and 12 third prizes for adult painting, 3 first prizes, 6 second prizes and 13 third prizes for adult calligraphy, and the maximum age of the creator is 86 years old.
The exhibition will feature 80 calligraphy and painting works until April 8, after which the works will also be exhibited in the district old cadre activity center, the cultural center of 9 streets, and 6 gardening stations. Beijing Daily client reporter
