With only two weeks to go until the 6.1 patch for Final Fantasy 14 (FF14) rolls out, Square Enix revealed a trailer for upcoming content in today's producer live speech letter.
Themed "Brand New Adventures," the clips presented from new missions, new storylines, and new dungeons are refreshing, especially after spending the entire DLC time saving the world and more threats that were established from the very beginning of Final Fantasy XIV in 2010. Now that these plot worries are over, it's nice for players to go on some light escape.
The trailer shows Tataru enjoying her breaks and reveals that she has been following her companions, Sons, who have all performed well in various ends since the endwalker event. New dungeons, bosses throughout, give enough attention to new content and stories.
A new main scene quest line will be launched in version 6.1, along with a secondary quest specifically for Scout's fixer Tataru himself. The first large regiment after the expansion, originally "The Myth of Iozea", will also include a new quest, a brand new PVP mode, and an extension of the mission support system. These are indeed substantial additions that may well set the stage for the game's future narrative.
Final Fantasy XIV's 6.1 release, "All New Adventures," will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC on April 12.
