Note that the world record here is a world record recognized by the World Athletics Federation. There are some unconventional projects that have also given birth to the world's best, which is not counted in this article.

South African veteran Stephen Mokoka set a new world record of 2:40:13 for a men's road run of 50 km at the Gqeberha Road Running Race in South Africa on March 6.

Sweden's Armand Duplantis rewrote the world record twice in March, both in Belgrade – on March 7, he jumped 6.19 meters on the Belgrade Indoor Tour. On March 20, he jumped 6.20 meters at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Belgrade. Both times set the world's highest record, both indoors and outdoors.

(5) Men's indoor 60m hurdles

In the semifinals of the men's 60m hurdles at the World Indoor Athletics Championships on March 20, American Star Grant Holloway ran 7.29 seconds to tie the world indoor record he held.

(6) Women's triple jump

Also at the World Indoor Athletics Championships on March 20, Venezuelan girl Rojas broke the world record with the last jump of 15.74 meters in the women's triple jump (the previous world indoor record was 15.43 meters, and the world outdoor record was 15.67 meters (+0.7m/s), both held by her).
