Singapore-based meta-universe game developer Red Door Digital recently announced the completion of a $5 million seed round with investors Shima Capital, M6, Maven Capital, Cryptology Asset Group, and LucidBlue Ventures. The funds will be used to develop high-quality metaverse games.
It is understood that Red Door Digital was founded in 2021, headquartered in Singapore, with efficient integration of Web 3, game profitability economic model, cross-chain decentralized finance (DeFi) and NFT interoperability mechanism, the initial team members from EA Online, Ubisoft, Epic, Tencent, NetEase and other game manufacturers, has now grown to 40 people.
The company currently has three games in development, including reign of Terror, a massively multiplayer online MMO game that will be released in the summer of 2022. In addition, Red Door Digital will launch the racing and combat casual game DinoHorse Saga and the sci-fi style "Eat Chicken" game "Project Synth" by the end of this year. According to incomplete statistics, Red Door Digital's field of games has a total of 9 financings this year.
Red Door Digital said that the team is good at controlling the rhythm of the game and subsequent scalability, and its goal is to enhance player games and social interaction through immersive experiences, so it will prioritize groundbreaking gameplay for benchmarking AAA games, including content support for local real-time operations and local languages. Meanwhile, Red Door Digital's Web 3 infrastructure will manage the underlying GameFi model to support a sustainable in-game economy with cross-chain NFT interoperability.
