This 28-day cooldown period applies to all promotions except for the four seasonal sale events (Lunar New Year, Summer, Autumn, Winter).
If the game is not allowed to participate in the four seasonal sales within 28 days of the game's release, within 28 days of the end of the initial price reduction, or within 28 days of the price increase in any currency.
At the same time, the game must not change the price of the product during the promotion or after scheduling future promotions.
In this new policy, the game discount range is limited from a minimum of 10% to a maximum of 90%, and the custom discount period cannot be longer than 2 weeks or less than 1 day.
The official reply said that during the promotion cooldown period, the game can still participate in the third-party promotion interface, but must follow the 28-day cooldown period rule, so it can only participate without discount.
Vlave has previously claimed that the purpose of this discount is to reduce Steam's fake "discounts."
