The manuscript of The First Circumnavigation of the Globe includes 23 exquisite hand-painted watercolor maps. This map, from one of the French manuscripts, shows the southern tip of South America and its waters between Tierra del Fuego. This stretch of water is a natural waterway between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, now known as the Strait of Magellan.
Pigafetta volunteered to join the expedition, and the motivation behind it was, in his own words, a desire for experience and glory. During his 3 years at sea, he recorded in detail the flora and fauna and indigenous peoples where they went, and recounted the tragedies that befall the ships and crews. Of the 270 people who set out on the expedition, only 18 returned.

Each of the 23 maps is closely related to a passage in the book and serves as an illustration of the narrative. Potter once sent a friend interesting and illustrated letters on the subject of animals. There is a letter revolving around her pet rabbit Peter. The letter actually indicates the birth of Potter's famous Peter Rabbit series.
The picture letters she sent to Moore's children were also the basis for the books "The Story of Nutkin the Squirrel" and "The Tailor of Grucester."

Michihiko Beetani revised his diary as The Tales of the Atomic Bombing of Hiroshima, which was first published in the Japanese medical journal in 1950. Under the supervision of the American physician Herner Wells, in 1955, the English translation of the Hiroshima Diary was published.
The diary records the 56 days after the Hiroshima nuclear explosion and also records the work that Michihiko Beetani did as the director of the Hiroshima Communications Hospital after the explosion.
