Kingsoft 2021 Annual Report: Game Revenue Down 7% Year-on-Year

On March 28, Kingsoft released its 2021 annual performance report on the 23rd. According to the report, the company's total revenue in 2021 was 6.371 billion yuan, an increase of 14% year-on-year; the net profit attributable to the mother was 395 million yuan, down 96% year-on-year.

Among them, the revenue of online games and other businesses was 3.106 billion yuan, down 7% year-on-year, accounting for 49% of the company's total annual revenue, and the financial report said that the reason for the decline in revenue was the decrease in revenue from existing games, partially offset by the contribution of newly launched mobile games.

Focusing on the fourth quarter, kingsoft's online games and other business revenue was 918 million yuan, an increase of 8% year-on-year and 30% sequentially. The earnings report said that the revenue growth in the quarter was due to the steady revenue of products such as the end game "Sword Net 3" and the classic swordsman 2D end game, as well as the launch of several new products.

Kingsoft launched three new products during Q4 2021, namely "Sword Net 1: Return", "Wulin Idler" and "Sword Man World 3". Among them, the "Sword Net 1: Return" developed by Xishanju was launched in October last year, and the company called it "Sword Man Love Online Edition Replica Mobile Game".

In November 2021, the martial arts mobile game "Wulin Idle Man", developed by Kingsoft World Tour and released by Chaoxi Lightyear, was launched, and in December, the Sword Man World series mobile game "Sword Man World 3" opened the undeleted test.

By the end of 2021, Kingsoft had 7,054 full-time employees, an increase of 1,279 over the end of 2020, and employee costs were 3.003 billion yuan (including directors and senior management honoraria), an increase of about 43% year-on-year.
