World of Warcraft Divine Priest: A detailed analysis of the linkage between the Night Guardian and the Ghost Mask

preface

After the opening of the Covenant Orange on March 24, there were huge doubts about the flexible use of the Fa And mask, and it was found that many friends in the priest area were confused about how the Fa Ye was calculated. So I spent some time with 2 researchers to test in detail the different uses of masks for different guardians of the night. Thanks to Broken [@Broken Wood Corpse] and Qinbao [@jissicul] for their support of this test.

Guardian of the Night

The Priest Night Covenant skill, which creates 3 Guardian Spirits, can be transferred to new targets when you cast a specific skill.

[Shingon: Shield] Guardian Law Night: Provides 20% damage reduction for the target

This elf has nothing to say, generally uses the Covenant Guardian against himself and the monster, and the guardian elf is usually on himself. However, in high-pressure environments or bosses, this skill can be used for tactical arrangements. For example, increase the frankness of t to t or for example, the double dance of m double king, and increase the survival rate of crispy dps.

[Rapid Healing] Good Deeds Night: Provides 100% cooldown reduction for the target

This sprite should be the most familiar to everyone (dps are all rolled up for me) I will probably explain the mechanism of this skill. For example, if I open the sacred hymn, and then open the Night Guard, then the time of the sacred hymn becomes 1 minute 30s cooling reduction (this understanding is very important, to be recorded in the small book) and then lasts for 20 seconds, it becomes 1 minute 10s, and the time regression becomes 2 minutes 20s. That is to say, the cd of 20s is reduced in 20s. (A bit wordy, it's actually 20s* [(1+100%)].

This is also the reason why the hymn cooldown of the hymn before double orange is on average at 2 minutes and 20s.

[Dark Words: Pain] Furious Night: Attacking hostile targets for one's own side to return to the blue

First of all, don't be fooled by the skill description, this elf is a pacifist, he does not do any damage, he will only be lazy (blue), each attack restores his own blue amount of 250, and the attack frequency eats a rapid bonus. Generally speaking, under the standard green word of Shen Mu, about 20s can restore the amount of blue about 6250.

ps: In the absence of covenant oranges, the law night is relatively simple is nothing more than to reduce CD, reduce injuries, and increase their battery life. But with Covenant Orange, the excitement begins!

Bondi's Covenant

Sign a pact with the God of Death (The God of Invigorating) and summon a ghost mask to hover around the target until the end of time.

Ghost Mask: Copies the current Magic Night buff on the target and follows the guide mask

Let me first explain the mechanism of this orange suit. When you open the Night Guardian, the original skill position is replaced by a mask that releases no gcd. This mask only duplicates the buff of one of the magic nights, which is equivalent to having 4 magic nights of buff that you can use flexibly. Let me first talk about the replication priority of the mask.

First time

Scenario A: Used against hostile targets, masks replicate the Night of Rage, double back to blue.

Scenario B: Use it on yourself, copy the Night of Good Deeds (when there are two elves on your body, the mask takes precedence in copying the Night of Good Deeds)

Case C: Use against friends, copy the Dharma of Good Deeds, for the same reason as above.

Mask transfer or elf transfer

The Mask Transfer only involves the Night of Good Deeds and the Night of The Night of Guardian Law, as the Night of Anger can only take effect against hostile targets.

Situation A-1: Use rapid healing on oneself or a friend, and the good deeds are transferred by night, but the mask is still the effect of the anger method night. (Once the Ghost Mask is in effect, it will remain on the target unless it is actively transferred, changing as the sprite changes.) )

Situation B-1: Use quick healing on friendly parties, transfer the Good Deed Night to your teammates, and leave yourself with the Ghost Mask and Guardian Magic Night, and the Ghost Mask effect becomes damage reduction. (The Ghost Mask only copies the Sprite effect on the current target)

Situation B-1-1: Use rapid healing on yourself again, and the Night of Good Deeds returns to yourself, and the Night of Good Deeds, the Night of Guarding, and the Ghost Spirit Mask, and the effect of the mask is still to reduce injuries. (The specific reason for this is not clear, but Qinbao's speculation is that the surface has two mechanisms.) 1: The mask will only change once when you use it for the first time 2: Use a quick treatment for yourself In the cognition of the mask, you still transfer the good deeds night, even if it is yourself. )

If you want to make the mask change back to subtract cd for the above situation, it is very simple, there are two ways. 1: Putting a shield on yourself is equivalent to you transferring the Night of the Guardian Law, and in the cognition of the mask, there is only the Night of Good Deeds. 2: Re-transfer the mask to yourself, then the mask returns to the logical conclusion, the two elves coexist, and the priority of the good deeds is higher than that of the guardians.

Situation B-2: Directly transfer the mask to the friend, leave the night of good deeds and the night of the guard law, the other party leaves the ghost mask, the mask effect is minus CD effect (there is a special place here, I will talk about it later), that is to say, the mask is transferred alone, and the original effect will be retained, which is equivalent to your one more transferable elf effect.

Similarly, when your mask effect is damage-reducing, it can also be transferred to teammates individually.

There is a special case here, which is a logical violation. For case B-2, you transfer the mask to the friend, then use the Quick Healing Transfer Good Deeds Method night on the friend, and then at this time, when you transfer the mask to yourself, the mask effect will become ineffective. The specific mechanism may also need to be tested, at present, I first temporarily determine that the mechanism of the mask's CD reduction effect and the mask's replication damage reduction effect has conflicted, resulting in the mask downtime.

Qin Yu has done a separate test for this purpose: the following are the test results

First give the mask and the night to yourself, then give the mask to the teammate, the teammate will have a separate cd mask, and then give the whole night to the teammate, transfer the mask to yourself alone, the mask or the cd reduction mask

If the mask is transferred to a person without a night buff alone, the mask will still have a separate effect. However, if the mask does not move and the night buff on the mask is transferred, the mask will be invalidated

Combined with the tests and conclusions of the brothers in the comments section, I came to the following conclusion:

The mask transfers the target alone to maintain the buff of the original target, but if you give this target a night buff and transfer the buff away in the future (here the transfer includes releasing a skill transfer on yourself), it will cause the mask to fail. The mask needs to be re-shifted to reactivate the mechanism. The reason for the mask downtime is: when you transfer the night buff, the mask on the target body cannot detect the night buff on the target, resulting in system failure and downtime. Even if you give yourself a buff, it will cause the night to have 0.000001 microseconds to temporarily leave the target body.

World of Warcraft Divine Priest: A detailed analysis of the linkage between the Night Guardian and the Ghost Mask

About the linkage mechanism of the night and the mask of good deeds

Night of Good Deeds: Skill Cooldown increased by 100%

Ghost Mask: Skill cooldown is increased by 50%.

Descriptions and bugs about the Ghost Mask in copying the CD reduction effect have been modified several times in ptr. So in the formal service is how to link it, many people will be confused why the double copy when the injury is reduced, the blue is double copied, how to reduce the CD discount!!! In fact, although the Description of the Ghost Mask is a 50% increase in skill cooldown, the effect retains the last description in ptr. Skill cooldown is boosted by an additional 50%. That is to say, the effect provided by the mask is to do multiplication rather than simple addition. I will illustrate below, all using a single covenant as an example. The following calculations must be added to the 20s duration of the night.

Scenario A: Alone in the night of the Good Deeds, the original hymn cooldown is reduced to 20s* [(1+100%)], leaving 2 minutes and 20s.

Situation B: Night of Good Deeds + Ghost Mask. The original hymn cooldown was reduced to 20s* [(1+100%)]*[(1+50%)] (extra) = 60s. 2 minutes remaining.

Then we had a whim and did the following calculations

Situation C: Night of Good Deeds + Ghost Mask (Broken) + Ghost Mask (Qinbao). The original hymn cooldown of the original hymn was reduced to 20s* [(1+100%)]*[(1+50%)]*[(1+50%)] = 90s. 1 minute 30s remaining. That means an additional 70 sscd reduction.

Based on this mechanism, it can be used as the following usage method.

Method A: Use the Covenant skill only once during hymns, which equals hymn fixation to 2 points 20 scd. It's equivalent to using the covenant skill twice before the orange suit, but the difference is that the timeline is relatively more stable. There won't be a problem like the previous battle in more than 8 minutes that led to the coordination of the night and hymns causing each cooldown period to be irregular.

Method B: Card cd uses covenant skills, but makes flexible adjustments. Let's say the first time you use the Copy Good Deeds Method night. Reduce 40scd. Card cd then uses the copy of the Furious Night to increase the battery life, while the Good Deed Night decreases itself by 20scd. This means that the hymn becomes a 2-minute cd, while increasing the mana regeneration by 6000+. However, this method will also cause the cooldown time of the hymns to be unstable, and it needs to be flexibly arranged according to the boss's timeline. For example, when to copy what buff, when to open covenant skills, etc. (This version of the Divine Shepherd was played out with flowers... I suddenly feel that the precepts are still simple haha)

ps: Only masks can exist more than one, and only one can exist in the Night of Good Deeds. So dps don't think about wanting two divine shepherds at the same time to do good deeds at the same time. There is no bonus effect.

Possible tactical roles

The presence of masks allows for reasonable mask and buff distribution in partial boss battles based on different tactical roles and timelines.

For example, tank high pressure, we can give masks and buff to tanks. Double 20% sustained 20s damage reduction buff. Or double t high pressure can choose one to stay guard the night, and one to stay ghost mask. Or according to the pressure of the dps and the adjustment of the timeline of the sacred hymn, choose the goal of the night of good deeds and the goal of the mask.

There is an important place here: the transfer of the Night Mask of Good Deeds is still only 50% effective, that is, only if the Night of Good Deeds and the Mask coexist, there will be a 200% (equivalent to 20s) reduction, and if separated, there will only be 100% and 50% of the effect. Similarly, if the mask superposition is not simple 300%, 400%, but 350% and 575%.

Write at the end: The above test may have some places that need to be practiced to certify, if there is an error or additional thing I will modify later. Just this post first helps the currently confused white professions in the priesthood.
