The "Data Center Industry Development Index" released by the Chinese Academy of Information and Communications Technology shows that the eastern region has strong innovation ability, rapid development of the digital economy, and large demand for computing power, but land resources, energy consumption and power supply indicators are tight, and under the "double carbon" goal, it is not sustainable to continue to develop data centers in the east on a large scale; the western region is rich in renewable resources, rich in land resources, suitable for climate, sufficient power and relatively cheap prices, which is very suitable for building data centers, but from a nationwide perspective, At present, less than 20% of the western regions have data centers.
