Recently, Geely Automobile officially announced the power configuration information of the Binrui COOL model, and the new car is equipped with a power combination of 1.5TD +7DCT. It is reported that the fastest new car may be released in the second quarter and will be listed within this year.
In terms of power, Binrui COOL is equipped with Geely 1.5TD high-pressure direct injection engine, using Geely "Ailos" combustion system, 350Bar mid-voltage direct injection system and small inertia electronic control supercharger and other technologies, so that this engine has higher thermal efficiency. The engine has a maximum power of 133 kW (181 hp), a maximum torque of 290 Nm, and an acceleration of only 7.1 seconds from 0-100 km/h, while having a good power, the fuel consumption per 100 km (WLTC) is only 5.9 L.
Matching the engine is the 7-stop wet double-clutch transmission, and the official said that the transmission has a maximum transmission efficiency of 98%, which effectively improves the power performance of Binrui COOL in the initial stage. Thanks to an efficient cooling system, the transmission supports torque output of up to 300 Nm peak for precise and smooth gear changes. In addition, this transmission is also the first transmission developed in accordance with the AUTOSAR system architecture in China, in line with the ISO26262 international safety standard, with higher transmission efficiency, better NVH performance, and higher manufacturing accuracy.
The appearance of Geely Binrui COOL is based on the design language of "Energy Storm", evolving into a younger "Racing Storm", and its appearance will directly target models such as Shadow Leopard and UNI-V.
