After "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" was launched on PC, it directly brought about the craze of JRPG.
As a replica of a classic work, this game is of course inevitably compared with the "past life". As a result, many players who are accustomed to the current AAA masterpiece have made a judgment on these two games in one second:
"What is the comparison of the original FF7?" The picture quality is so mushy, now I can't play at all! ”
There is no way, although it is too unfair to compare the work of 97 with the present, but the current game development is going in the direction of better picture quality and more explosive special effects. Of course, the "blessing" for players is to buy more memory and more expensive graphics cards.
However, as one of the most classic game modes, JRPG does not have only one development mode. Many manufacturers are still developing games based on the traditional pixel style. Many of these "classical" JRPG have also created their own fame.

And among these classical schools, there is an outlier that has recently caught my eye.
It's called Evolution Land 2.
The RPG developed by Shiro Games has been released for some time now, and the domestic mobile version will be released by Heartbeat on May 25 and launched simultaneously on the TapTap/App Store.
As for why I chose EvolutionLand 2, it was probably because it was the most "fancy":

From entering the novice village to the final boss, I seem to have changed all kinds of games along the way.
At the beginning, there was a feeling of "fighting" when it was upgraded, and in the later levels, the game turned out to be a horizontal board, and occasionally there was a turn-based gameplay of Final Fantasy.
And that's not the most outrageous, because here I can actually play Zelda.
I've seen a lot of 2D gameplay in 3D, but playing 3D in pixel games is really novel.
In addition to the various gameplay in the main line, EvolutionLand 2 also has a variety of built-in mini-games, such as decryption, cards, strategy and so on. After various gameplay experiences, I had the illusion of playing "200-in-1 cartridge".
None of this is the biggest surprise that Evolved Lands 2 brought to me, and if I want to say amazing, I have to say that it is the final boss battle.
In this boss battle, the protagonist must first become a horizontal character, to a "real man on the next hundred floors", and then follow a classic mecha boss battle on the SFC platform, and finally cut back to the 3D overhead view, like "Zelda" and fight with the boss.
I've played this time more than three times.
The mobile version of Evolutionland 2 also has a "Tower of Lords" gameplay, which players can unlock by collecting five stars in the game. This mode randomly combines 14 bosses and allows players to challenge in turn.
This is equivalent to using a mode that combines all the previous features of the gameplay. For example, the final boss battle above, as well as the game modes of horizontal boards, real-time strategy, meat pigeons, etc. that appeared before. These boss battles with different difficulty and gameplay can be completed in one breath.
In terms of the playability of "Evolutionland 2", I don't think it is at all inferior to those classic masterpieces with high popularity. It not only retains the core of the classic JRPG, but also upgrades the gameplay on this basis, combining a variety of game elements, and the developer's creativity and ability to melt the stem will overflow the screen.
So, will the old RPG be topped off?
The answer is no.
Just like Final Fantasy 7 will not be forgotten because of the excellence of the remake, the "old RPG" of "Evolutionland 2" will surely attract players who love role-playing with its bloody king story and rich gameplay like "fine points" in the current situation of AAA everywhere.
