However, the ISP is only part of the entire image processing link, and OPPO is obviously more ambitious, and what it wants to do is a complete image processing full link.
Therefore, OPPO brought the first NPU chip for self-developed imaging , Mariana MariSilicon X. Mariana MariSilicon X adopts DSA's new gold architecture concept and 6nm advanced process, has a computing power of up to 18TOPS, and at the same time achieves the custom integration of image vertical links, breaking the long-standing collaboration problems between algorithms, chips and sensors, and also meeting the computing power and energy efficiency requirements of computing images.
In an interview after the OPPO Find X5 series of press conferences, Chen Qiongxuan, product manager of Find X5, once said that Mariana is not an ISP, and the traditional ISP deals with a simple multi-frame synthesis algorithm, but it is actually more difficult for deep learning and AI algorithm models. Mariana X is an NPU, the AI computing power is stronger than the traditional ISP, there are independent NPU modules, can put ai algorithms on the RAW domain for processing.
In addition, for the first time, Mariana X undertakes the output of the self-developed 3A algorithm. The AAA algorithm is the role of the command in the image link, dominating focus, exposure, white balance, etc., so mariana X can coordinate the lens, natural color sensor, and subsequent Processing of the ISP on the Snapdragon.
Of course, the OPPO team also made it clear that today, in the OPPO Find X5 series, only 30% of the potential of the Mariana MariSilicon X has been tapped, and the follow-up will make the Mariana X more and more excellent through continuous OTAs. In the imaging hardware part, compared to the OPPO Find X5 Pro, the Find X5 also slightly moved the "scalpel".
Specifically, oppo Find X5 main camera, ultra-wide angle are 50 million pixels IMX766, of which the main camera supports OIS optical image stabilization, but there is no "suspension stabilization" on the X5 Pro; the lens is a 6P lens, there is no high-lens glass lens on the main camera;

In terms of core configuration, OPPO Find X5 is equipped with Snapdragon 888, with a maximum of 12GB of LPDDR5 large memory and 256GB of UFS3.1 high-speed flash memory configuration optional.
In the performance part, according to the convention, IT Home first tests the running score through Geekbench, AndroBench and other software:
The first is GeekBench5.4.1, which embodies the theoretical performance of the CPU, and the OPPO Find X5 has scored a single-core 1110 and a multi-core score of 3348. Compared with the OPPO Find X5 Pro equipped with the new Snapdragon 8, its single-core multi-core score is slightly reduced, but the gap is not large.
In terms of AntuTu, the total score of OPPO Find X5 reached 825,000 +, and the Snapdragon 888 is normal, which is also the first echelon of Performance in the Android camp.
In the flash test, oppo Find X5 sequential read speed reached 1995MB/s, sequential write speed reached 783MB/s, UFS 3.1 level.

As shown in the figure below, after more than 30 minutes of high-intensity Protosthetic testing, the AVERAGE frame rate of the OPPO Find X5 is 34.7. Like the Find X5 Pro, the performance schedule of the Find X5 is still relatively conservative, and more attention will be paid to the control of the body temperature in the extreme scene.
As can be seen through the frame rate chart, in the first two minutes of the game, with the increase in temperature, OPPO Find X5 began to slowly lock 40fps, and in the subsequent time, even if it encountered a long battle scene, the frame rate fluctuations were relatively flat, and the frame rate was not particularly high, but it was stable.
In the 30-minute high-intensity Protosthetic game, the OPPO Find X5 X1 super core with a frequency of 2.84GHz is almost "unmoved", and the three 2.4GHz A78s have not rushed to the top. The core temperature remains below 53°C.
In this way, although it is different from the Find X5 Pro core, the performance scheduling of the two products is basically the same, relatively conservative, do not pursue high frame rate, maintain stable frame, and control the body temperature quite well.
In terms of power consumption, the measured average power consumption of 30 minutes of "Original God" is 5.12W, which is lower than the 5.34W of the Find X5 Pro New Snapdragon 8.

In terms of fuselage temperature, OPPO Find X5 has a maximum temperature of 42 ° C, the temperature control performance is very gratifying, although the fuselage is also hot, but there is absolutely no exaggeration of the "hot hand" of friends.
