The petals of the wax plum are very waxy, and only yellow flowers bloom, other colors are basically absent, and plum blossoms have red, pink, white, and even green calyx plums, and there is no very pure and obvious yellow flower. This is arguably the main difference between the two of them. In addition, the flowering period of wax plums runs through the whole winter, but plum blossoms are also after January at the earliest, and the difference between the two in the flowering period is also quite large.
