Miguel Oliveira won the Wetlands race at Mandalika, the Portuguese driver's second KTM podium driver of the season after Brad Binder finished second in Losail and, of course, the first KTM race of the year.

Miguel Oliveira's performance is unquestionably perfect.

"I'm very happy with the result," Oliveira said, "it's always hard to fully manage the race in the wetlands, at first we couldn't even determine if there was a way to race today, but the final result made me very happy, in some areas I feel that KTM is quite competitive, but in others I have to try to do the best management, I know there is Fabio behind me, in fact I just wanted to stop falling in the last three laps, and in the end I won the race."

"There were almost no crashes today, which is very strange because the rain battle would have had a good chance of some ups and downs, you can't catch a good brake point, in the first few laps I tried to keep up with Jack Miller and try to get as much fun as possible about how to make the car move forward, and then, after surpassing Jack I started looking for my own rhythm and looking for confidence."

"As for Quartararo, if I did seven more laps I don't know what the result would be, and in the end I just thought about how to manage my race because there are a few corners on the track that are quite dangerous, like Turn One."

"This year's car is not much different from the 2021 version, we have done a lot of work on the electronic control equipment and the suspension, these little details allow the RC16 to be more competitive, we try to do the best in every part, but we still have a long way to go, there are 19 races this year and we aim to stay competitive in all conditions, on the podium at Losail, Brad Binder and now we will continue to work hard in the Argentina branch."
