The 23-year-old Stacher, born in Hamburg, stands at 194 cm tall and plays as a midfielder and occasionally makes a cameo appearance as a centre-back. Stach comes from a sports family, his father is a sports-related scientist, and he and his sister have been practicing tennis since childhood.

In 2010 Stach joined the Bremen Academy, specializing in football, spending more than four years in Bremen. He then left his mark on The North West Club U19, Osnabrück U19, Jedlow II and Wolfsburg II in Oldenburg.

Before joining Fürth in the Bundesliga in the summer of 2020, Stach had been in the 4th division of the regional league and had not been selected for any level of the national youth team, and was an out-and-out "grassroots".

In March last year, Stach was selected for the German U21 national youth team, and for the first time, he was awarded the national shirt. He won the Under-21 European Youth Championship as a substitute and then competed in the Tokyo Olympics.

Joining Fürth in the Bundesliga in the summer of 2020 was a turning point in Stach's career, winning the main position after a little half a season of adaptation and scoring his Bundesliga debut with a long-range shot in the promotion battle with Bochum.

Last season, Stach played 30 times for Fürth in the Bundesliga and was an important contributor to the team's promotion. Fürth was the third-fewest team to concede in the Bundesliga, and Stach was instrumental.

Last summer, Veteran Bundesliga side Mainz poached Stach from Fürth for 3.5 million dollars, setting a record for a transfer fee in Fürth history.

Stach has made 21 appearances for Mainz so far this season, including 13 starts, 1 goal and 3 assists. His addition has created a solid barrier for Mainz's midfielder, conceding just eight of mainz's 13 home games this season, the fifth-highest number of goals conceded at home.

In addition to defending, Stach also has a certain degree of organizational skills. His ability to play and read matches is up to the 6th and 8th positions. His tall height and playing style are reminiscent of German legend Effenberg, and former Bremen and Bayern star Borrowski.

In three years, Stach completed the triple jump from the regional league, bundesher and Bundesliga, from the nameless grassroots to the national team.

Germany coach Frick said: "Stach's selection may surprise many people. He performed very well in Mainz. He is certainly not mature yet, and there is still room for improvement. But he already has some good qualities that come in handy in our team. ”

This international match week, Germany will first sit in Sinsheim on March 26 to face Israel, followed by a visit to Amsterdam on the 29th to challenge the Netherlands. Stach will have a chance to make his debut for his national team.
