Announcement no. 536 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China
In order to ensure the quality and safety of agricultural products, the safety of people and livestock and the safety of the ecological environment, according to the Opinions of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on Deepening Reform and Strengthening Food Safety Work and the Regulations on the Administration of Pesticides, with the consent of the State Council, it was decided to take phase-out measures for four kinds of highly toxic pesticides, such as methyl phosphorus, methyl isotylphos, water amine thiophos, and line-killing phosphorus. The relevant matters are hereby announced as follows:
From September 1, 2022, the registration of pesticides in methylphos, methyl isotylphos, water amine thiophos, line-killing phosphorus and preparation products will be revoked, and production will be prohibited. Products that have been legally produced can be sold and used during the quality assurance period and are prohibited from sale and use from September 1, 2024.
