Edwin Kirk: Internationally renowned scholar with dual identities as a clinical geneticist and genetic pathologist. He is a clinician who has worked at Sydney Children's Hospital for more than 20 years and has treated countless children; he is an experienced medical educator who is currently the Chief Examiner of Genetics at the Royal Australian College of Pathology; and he is a highly respected researcher who conducts research at the Healthy Pathogenomics Laboratory in New South Wales, specializing in cardiac genetics, metabolic diseases, intellectual disabilities and research on the screening of carriers of childbearing age. Now living in Sydney with his wife and three children, he enjoys swimming competitions at sea and playing saxophones in his spare time.
