Beijing, March 15 (Xinhua) -- Recently, the "Twenty-Four Solar Terms and Seventy-Two Seasons" new book sharing meeting sponsored by CITIC Publishing Group was held in Beijing, and two authors Xu Lijing, Xu Dongdong and literary critic Pan Kaixiong shared their creation and reading experiences with online and offline readers as guests. According to reports, the book "Twenty-Four Festivals and Seventy-Two Seasons" selects more than 140 abstract paintings created by Professor Xu Dongdong with the theme of "Twenty-four Festivals and Seventy-Two Seasons", as well as nearly 80 text works of understanding the four seasons completed by Xu Lijing, a senior journalist and senior editor, combined with paintings, and includes dialogues with Wang Meng, Ding Yihui, Xue Qikun, Chen Lai and others.
When talking about the origin of the creation of "Twenty-Four Solar Terms and Seventy-Two Seasons", Xu Lijing, the author of the book, said that looking at painting and writing, expounding the new thinking contained in the new painting language, and integrating individuals' perceptions of nature and life, the creative process blends with the rational thinking and perceptual experience of the twenty-four solar terms and seventy-two weather. The times need new creations, as journalists, it is a responsibility to make efforts for the creative transformation and innovative development of excellent traditional culture, and it is also the original intention of this book.

Literary critic and writer Pan Kaixiong said on the spot that the seemingly small incision of the cultural work "Twenty-four Solar Terms and Seventy-Two Seasons" is absolutely different from the general solar terms knowledge popularization reading, although it has no lack of cognition and understanding of each festival and phenology, but from time to time infuses the author's strong humanistic feelings and life experience, and there is a strong sense of "substitution" when reading.
