A few days ago, the author found the declaration map and related information of faw-Volkswagen's new Tanyue in the 354th batch of "Announcements on Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products" published by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. As a mid-term redesign, the appearance of the new car has been improved, adding more popular design elements; in addition, the new car still offers three power versions for consumers to choose from. According to the latest information obtained by the author, FAW-Volkswagen's new Tanyue is expected to make its debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April.
In terms of appearance, the structure of the interior of faw-Volkswagen's new Tanyue grille has been adjusted, abandoning the current "honeycomb chain" decoration and replacing it with a metal chrome-plated element similar to the X-shape, while the brand logo located in the middle of the grille is still connected by a chrome strip. In addition, the front surround of the new car has also been redesigned to present a penetrating visual effect, and the aura has been enhanced.
The side of the body basically continues the current design, and the three-dimensional waist line that runs through the body is not absent, with a slightly expanded front and rear fenders, highlighting the posture of being ready to go. As for the body size, the length, width and height of the faw-Volkswagen tanyue are 4593 (4592)/1860/1669 (1665) mm, the wheelbase is 2731mm, and the body length and height are a certain improvement compared with the current model, for comparison, the length, width and height of the current FAW-Volkswagen Tanyue are 4589/1860/1660mm, and the wheelbase is 2731mm.
From the side of the body, the overall silhouette has not been greatly adjusted. The new car continues to feature the same design as the current model. And it can be seen that the road test uses dynamic wheels to make the new car look new. The rear of the car is also covered with thick camouflage. The middle of the rear is concave, and the lower part is very prominently surrounded. The details have also been adjusted compared to the current model.
The powertrain is not expected to change, and the new car will still be equipped with a 1.4T turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 150 hp and a maximum torque of 250 Nm, as well as a 2.0T turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 220 hp and 186 hp, with a maximum torque of 350 Nm and 320 Nm. In terms of transmission system, the above models are equipped with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission and are available with two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive options.
