The "Renren Car" platform conceals the number of vehicle transfers and conceals the problem of car damage; the "Guazi Second-hand Car" leaks personal information; and the "58 Same City" platform claims that taxi license plates are available. After conducting an experiential survey of 10 online trading websites and 4 used car trading markets, on March 14, the Beijing Consumer Association released the results of the second-hand car trading and consumption survey, and a number of second-hand car platforms were exposed.
Question 1: "Everybody's Car" conceals the number of transfers and the actual situation of car damage
In the car selling experience, the experiencer contacted the "Renrenche" platform to sell a second-hand vehicle of BAIC BJEV, and the platform first sent an appraiser to conduct on-site vehicle testing, and "Renrenche" released the car sales information on its platform. Subsequently, the experiencer found that the content of the public information was different from the actual test results, and the platform was suspected of concealing the true situation of the vehicle and suspected of false publicity.
The "Renren Car" platform vehicle testing information publicity involves two problems: one is to conceal the number of vehicle transfers, the experiencer clearly informed the appraiser that the car has been transferred, it is already a second-hand car, but the public information is "the owner dictates the transfer 0 times, and the car is a new car brought back by the 4S store"; the second is to conceal the problem of car damage, the sale of the vehicle has obvious scratches in appearance, the appraiser also took photos and collected evidence during the test, but the public information showed that "the appearance is flawless". It does not correspond to the actual situation.
Question 2: "Melon seed used car" leaks personal information
In the experience survey, the experiencer used a new mobile phone card to register the contact information on the "Melon Seed Used Car" platform and filled in the brief information of the vehicle sales. Subsequently, the experience staff did not register again on other platforms, but there were still car dealers on multiple platforms such as "Auto Home", "Uxin Used Car", and "Daily Car Shooting" who took the initiative to contact the experience staff to ask for details of the car sale. The experiencer asked the car dealers of other platforms how to know their mobile phone numbers, and the car dealers explained that it was the customer information pushed by the platform.
Question 3: Platforms such as "58 Same City" are suspected of illegal operations
The experiencer found on the "58 Same City" platform that the merchant posted that "a large number of Beijing brands can be handled, including Beijing A, and leasing and lifelong use can be handled".
The "First Automobile Network" platform sales said that it can be bought and sold with a number and rented a Beijing brand.
When browsing the second-hand car column information on the "People's Network" platform, the experiencer found a lot of content about "acquisition of Beijing brand indicators" and "marriage transfer", in which he found a page selling Land Rover Range Rover 2018 second-hand vehicles, the page details were marked with the words "buy a car and send a Beijing card", and the experiencer communicated with the merchant that this car was "back to the house for sale", which means that the merchant signed an agreement with the original owner to sell the right to use the Beijing license plate of the vehicle for a fee by means of risk control such as video and contract. This practice is an illegal operation, and there is a transaction risk for both buyers and sellers.
More than 40% of respondents said that there were quality problems with the used cars they bought
According to the survey results of actual consumption, 34.18% of the respondents have experienced the problem of overlord clauses in contracts; followed by unclear contract terms, accounting for 32.36%. 45.64% of the respondents said that there were quality problems with the used cars they bought.
During the in-depth survey, some respondents believed that some second-hand car dealers had the problem of concealing the true condition of their vehicles. Some consumers believe that many of the second-hand car trading platforms are described in some obvious vehicle conditions such as vehicle appearance and interior, and most of the important parts such as vehicle engines and gearboxes have not been tested in detail, if there are problems with important parts of the vehicle, in order to promote sales, merchants may choose to conceal the true condition of the vehicle.
Mr. Wang, a consumer, purchased a used car through a direct-operated store of Guazi used cars. Mr. Wang said: "After the car arrived, I found that there were many problems. Brakes, oil pumps, air conditioning cooling are not very good. At that time, they concealed the condition of the car and did not inform me that the vehicle had an accident problem. ”
Ms. Wang, a consumer, buys a used car at the Huaxiang used car market in Beijing. Ms. Wang: "When I bought it, the sales staff said that there were some places in the vehicle, and the test report was relatively simple, and I didn't pay too much attention." After a few days of driving, I found that there was something wrong with the gearbox. ”
During the in-depth investigation, it was found that many consumers complained about the cash reward withdrawal problem of the Autohome Express App, saying that they received rewards by inviting friends, but when they withdrew, the platform refused to operate for various reasons, and consumers believed that the platform was suspected of false publicity.
Mr. Zhang, a consumer: "The Autohome Express app has that kind of cash reward. Saying that there is a cash reward, I have used two months, in fact, I can only withdraw 3 cents a day, click 2 yuan, 10 yuan, 20 yuan, always have been robbed. I think there is a suspicion of fraud."
Recommendation: Establish a second-hand car data information registration and inquiry system
In response to the results of this survey, the Municipal Consumer Association suggested that information disclosure should be strengthened, and it is suggested that the relevant departments can establish a complete set of second-hand car data information registration and inquiry system, and consumers can query transaction information, maintenance records and vehicle insurance records online for free. If consumers can obtain the above information on vehicles, it will greatly improve the transparency of transaction information, reduce transaction disputes, and promote the healthy development of the second-hand car trading industry.
Establish an evaluation system to clarify vehicle testing standards. Raise the entry threshold for used car appraisers, increase the training of appraisers, enhance professionalism, and improve their vehicle inspection and evaluation capabilities.
In addition, the relevant departments have launched a red and black list system to carry out positive publicity for businesses that operate in good faith and have good service quality; for the illegal acts of some businesses, once verified, they must be severely punished and exposed for their violations, and guide second-hand car dealers to standardize their operations.
