Recently, we learned from relevant channels that Changan Automobile may release four new cars within the year, which not only covers the market segment from small cars, cars to SUVs, but also its power forms in addition to pure electricity, PHEV plug-in hybrid, and even include range extended electric vehicles and FCVs (fuel cells) and other areas that Changan has not been involved in before.
↑ Chang'an new sedan codenamed C385
Among the many new cars, the most recent of our releases is a brand new sedan code-named C385. The car was first unveiled in August 2021 and is positioned as a compact sedan. According to the information provided by the factory, this new car built on the exclusive pure tram platform will provide three powertrains of pure electricity, extended range electric (REV) and plug-in hybrid at the same time. In terms of size, the new car has a body length, width and height of 4800*1880*1480mm, and a wheelbase of 2880mm. In addition, the new car may be equipped with APA7.0 remote unmanned valet parking system for the first time in terms of driver assistance system. According to the information provided by the current factory, the system can complete the unmanned queue parking function outside the garage under the premise of meeting the current relevant laws and regulations, the user can get off the car directly outside the garage, the system queues independently, driving the vehicle automatically through the barrier, automatically looking for parking space, automatic parking, the whole process without user monitoring. It is reported that the car is expected to be listed in May this year.
↑ Changan UNI-V will launch an iDD model within the year
In addition, Changan also plans to launch the UNI-V iDD model in the second half of the year, which is expected to share the powertrain with the newly launched UNI-K iDD. For reference, the current UNI-K iDD is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system composed of a 1.5T engine + a front axle motor, which matches the 6-speed three-clutch transmission, of which the 1.5T engine has a maximum power of 122 kW (166 hp) and a maximum torque of 255 Nm. The total power of the electric motor is 85kW (114 hp), the maximum torque is 330Nm, and it is equipped with a battery pack with a capacity of 30.74kWh, and its NEDC pure electric cruising range can reach 130km, and the comprehensive cruising range is 1100km.
In addition to the two sedan products, Changan also plans to launch a pure electric mini car based on the EPA0 platform and another blockbuster model within the year, about which the manufacturer has not yet provided any information. The former's internal code name is A158, or the opponent will directly lock the benchmark of this level - Wuling Hongguang MINIEV.
