To be honest, when I started Changan CS55PLUS, I didn't pay much attention to the Wuling Star car, because my cognition of Wuling still stayed on the body of Wuling Hongguang. It just so happens that some time ago, a friend mentioned Taiwuling Star, and said that the price is the same as my Changan CS55PLUS is about 100,000 (mine is the 2022 Blue Whale version 1.5TDCT deluxe version, 106,900; the friend is the 2021 1.5TCVT Star Edition, 99,800). Driven by curiosity, I proposed to change cars with friends for a few days, but the experience of changing cars in these few days made me find that there was a big gap between the two cars.

Let's talk about the appearance first, my Changan CS55PLUS looks well-behaved, not particularly handsome, but it looks very delicate. What I'm a little dissatisfied with is that the body size is not very large, so the aura is not strong. The design of Xingchen personally feels good, it looks more elegant, but its size is larger than my Changan CS55PLUS, so it feels more domineering.
After all, everyone has a different view of the value of this thing, and I think there is no difference between high and low in the two cars. What really surprised me was the internet of vehicles and space of the star. I usually also like to use the Internet of Vehicles function, especially voice control, like adjusting the air conditioner when driving, opening the listening software, and opening the navigation are very convenient. It's just that there is some trouble when waking up, the sound is smaller or the speed of speech is faster, and there is a need to wake up every time you want to operate, which is very troublesome.
Friends' stars are different, I have tried many times in the past few days of driving, the speed of speech is slightly faster or the sound is slightly smaller can wake up the system, more sensitive than my Changan CS55PLUS. In addition to sensitivity, what really makes me feel the gap is the continuous dialogue function of the stars. The first time I used it, I thought it was also a question and an answer, but when I inadvertently issued two instructions to turn on the air conditioner and turn on the navigation, the system also immediately performed the operation. In addition, its Internet of Vehicles can also control functions such as wipers, so in experience, I think the Wuling brand is no longer synonymous with tool cars.
The gap in space is just like what the appearance sees, because the two cars are not the same size, and there will naturally be a gap in the internal space. My Changan CS55PLUS has a wheelbase of only 2650mm, while my friend's Star wheelbase is 2750mm. I felt the difference in space after sitting in the car, my height is 177cm, usually driving my own car head can still have a punch and a finger, sitting in the second row of the head can be left with four fingers, the leg is a punch and four fingers. When opening a friend's star, the head can have one punch and two fingers left, sitting in the second row of the head can still have one punch left, and the leg is more than two punches, the gap is indeed obvious. Moreover, my friend's car also has mood lights and variable suspension, while my car is said to be four-wheeled, but it still feels uncomfortable.
After discovering the gap between the above aspects, I originally wanted to find some confidence in my Changan CS55PLUS in terms of power, after all, my car has 180 horsepower and the stars are 147 horsepower. But after actually driving up, I found that after stepping on the throttle, the power of Wuling Xingchen was also sufficient, and there was also a certain sense of pushing back. What's even more infuriating is that the starting stage of Wuling Xingchen is much smoother than my Changan CS55PLUS, and the Xingchen is also equipped with a 360-degree panoramic image, which is clearer than the reversing image equipped with my car, and it is really good to use when parking.
After a few days of opening, I did have a new understanding of the Stars and even the Wuling brand. At the moment when the car was changed back, to be honest, there was a strong sense of gap, but fortunately, after spending several months with my Changan CS55PLUS, I could already accept its advantages and disadvantages. But then again, if I hadn't bought Changan CS55PLUS earlier, I would probably have started with Wuling Xingchen.
