On the morning of March 11, under the coordination and organization of the Linwei District Greening Committee, more than 500 cadres and workers of 43 departments and departments at the municipal and district levels carried out a feverish voluntary tree planting activity on the bank of the East Pai Alkali Ditch in Zhujia Village, Gushi Town, Linwei District, planting more than 1,500 high-standard seedlings such as national locust, luan tree, neem, white wax, and red leaf plum on the same day, and completed the greening of the alkali ditch for 2,500 meters, equivalent to an area of more than 50 mu, so that the previously barren alkali ditch became a beautiful landscape.
With the purpose of creating a comprehensive treatment model for the Weibei alkali ditch, this voluntary tree planting activity combines ecological ditches, landscape forest belts and leisure green corridors, and plans and designs ecological landscape tree species such as heather, ash and begonia, which vividly reflects the concept of landscape forest field lake grass community. While carrying out voluntary tree planting activities at the two levels in the urban area, all departments, streets and towns combined with their own actual conditions, carried out more than 10 various forms of tree planting activities, planting a total of more than 7,000 seedlings of various types, laying a solid foundation for the comprehensive completion of the spring afforestation task.
This year, Linwei District will benchmark the overall goal of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government to create a national forest city, take the full implementation of the forest chief system as the general starting point, highlight the four key tasks of "100,000 mu of carbon sequestration forest in Nanyuan, alkali alkali ecological forest in Weibei, grasp the construction of 10,000 mu of traditional Chinese medicine bases under the forest and the management and protection of forest resources, and plan to complete the task of afforestation of 64,000 mu, providing solid ecological support for promoting the high-quality economic and social development of Linwei."
