At the venue, Shen Lin said in an interview with the Beiqing-Beijing headline reporter, "The earliest connection with the Dream of the Red Chamber was when I filmed the TV series "Dream of the Red Chamber" more than 30 years ago. After the show was made, my kids grew up. I also picked up my hobby of painting oil. Shen Lin said that as a red chamber person, she wanted to draw the 87 version of the drama to make some contributions to Chinese culture.

Transformed from an actor to a painter, Shen Lin first took herself as an "experiment", painting the role of Ping'er played by herself in the 87 version of the Dream of the Red Chamber, and after repeated modifications, she felt that she could draw with her hands, Shen Lin began to paint other people in the play. "The Jia Baoyu, Lin Daiyu, Bao Dai reading West Wing, and Wang Xifeng on the wall here are my first paintings."

Shen Lin said that the pixels of the 87 version of the Red Chamber Dream stills she saved at hand were not very clear, which made her feel very confused when painting, and she had to restore it as much as possible. She also integrates her understanding and ideas of the characters of the Dream of the Red Chamber into the paintings, for example, the background of her painting Jia Tanchun is the sea and the boat, which is actually very allegorical. She used the expression method of classical painting to reflect the helplessness of Jia Tanchun, a female reformer of daguanyuan, in the face of Jia Fu Mansion; Jia Xichun's final ending was to escape into the empty door, for which Shen Lin used a relatively calm color in the background when creating this Jia Xichun oil painting.

In addition to painting the red chamber dream of the red chamber twelve gold nobile canon, Shen Lin also painted the ping'er, attacking people and other gold nobile sub-albums. The painting on display at the venue that day was her most recent painting, and she wanted to express the warmth and calm character of the attacker. So far, Shen Lin has painted a total of eighteen or nine people in the Red Chamber.
