As a characteristic building of the mainland, the Stone Arch not only reflects the wisdom and diligence of the ancient working people, but also plays a huge role in our study of ancient folk culture and historical research.
Many historical and cultural monuments in Fengzhu Village, a traditional Chinese village, were destroyed during the Cultural Revolution, including the "JieXiao" archway of The Wife of Hu Yongqun and the "Wenkui" plaques of Hu Taiyun, Hu Yongjue, Hu Shimo and others.
Origin of the "Festival of Filial Piety" Stone Arch
Sun Hu Yongqun, the seventeenth descendant of the Hu clan in Fengzhu Village, was the eldest son of Hu Taiyun, a prisoner. He placed on his father the heavy responsibility of "keeping and creating" the family business, so he was entrusted with the responsibility of following the teacher and learning full of experience. Ben was the leader of the family, but unfortunately died young. His wife, Zhang Shi (張氏), Bing Qing Yujie (冰清玉杰), and Xin Ru Bitterness (匯茹茹), raised the three sons of Hu Shimo (example of granting the State Zijian), Hu Shilie, and Hu Shibin (例授 gongyuan jia tongzhi title), so that the family style of "half ploughing, half reading, keeping and creating" established by the ancestors was continued in the same line. In order to reflect the integrity and contribution of the Zhang clan, in November of the eighth year of Xianfeng (1858), through the inscription of the Great Qing Ceremony Department, the emperor enzuned, and set up a "festival of filial piety" stone arch for the Zhang clan at the top of the Shuijing Road of the Elder Temple in the former Fengzhu Village.

The historical background of the destruction of the Stone Arch
In July 1966, the "Red Guards" entered the village to break the "four olds", the stone arch was torn down, the Wenkui plaque was smashed, many cultural relics and monuments were destroyed, and the "reading" in the "half ploughing and half reading" family style of the five Lianhu clans was also halfway down. Since then, many parts of the archway have been scattered and lost. In particular, the loss of one of the long stone pillars is particularly deplorable, because no one can remember the inscription on this stone pillar by the celebrities of the time. A thousand pillars are easy to imitate, and it is difficult to find a link - to repair the stone arch, this will be a big problem.

Preparations for the restoration of the "Jiexiao" archway
In July 2021, Hu Kezhen (Nanyang), Hu Changhe, and other descendants of the Hu clan, mainly based on the Hu "Ke" and "Chang" characters, prepared to restore the "Jie Xiao" arch, which received response and support from relatives and friends at home and abroad. The only conundrum is that one sentence. So the people of Fengzhu Village, holding the psychology of luck, specially hired an excavator to conduct a digging search at the original site, hoping to find the long stone pillar underground, but found nothing.

During this period and a few years ago, the people of Fengzhu Village also extensively recruited associations among wenyou and netizens, collecting a number of good associations of enthusiastic friends in case of emergency. At the last moment, when the manufacturer Min Xingfu had prepared a replacement stone pillar, but hesitated to delay the progress because he felt that no matter which proposed sentence to pay for the engraving was not perfect, as if with divine help, when he once again temporarily dug deep into the original site to build a solid foundation, the missing feldspar pillar was accidentally dug up, and what was more exciting was the priceless original link ("Seventy Years of Rudi Frost and Fuck") Beads were also combined perfectly with the lower link ("Thousand Years of History of the Sun and Moon") to avoid the embarrassment of moving flowers and elder trees. At the same time, the entire archway was restored closer to the original appearance.
At the last moment, the stone pillar excavated in the ground contained the original link of "Seventy Years of Rudi Frost and Exercise", which was finally combined with the lower link of "Thousands of Years of History, Sun and Moon Fighting for Glory".

The Stone Arch has now been restored and completed on the original site, although the area around the original site has been completely unrecognizable. In the darkness, it seems to correspond to the meaning of the Hu family's poem "Eternal Si Xianyan, Kechang Yi Long Ago". Nowadays, the relatives of the Ke, Chang and other generations with limited remains of the remaining life are not waiting to restore the archway, not to judge the right and wrong of the filial piety culture, but to try their best to rescue the splendid cultural relics created by the ancestors of the Tai, Yong, Shi, and Si generations in the cultural desert that has been destroyed into the almost barren cultural desert, so that future generations can have more understanding of the history of the village through these relics, and at the same time, hope to illuminate the cultural light of the night sky of the ancient village, and continue the present and future of the village.
