Xbox recently launched a new female mentor program to bring more women into the gaming industry. The program will see women in companies connect with aspiring talent through one-on-one coaching sessions that advance their careers.
The United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan and South Korea will be the first regions to launch the program. More countries and details will be announced soon.

Rare executive producer Louise O'Connor said the team hopes the project will have a meaningful impact and help advance the careers of the gaming industry through practical and purposeful action.
Later this year at GDC, Xbox will form a group of female leaders across the company to share their career journeys. The lineup includes Obsidian, Double Fine and InXile studio manager Mary McGuane, The Coalition head of technology Kaye Rayner, former World's Edge studio head Shannon Loftis, Minecraft vice president Helen Chiang, and cloud gaming senior director Kim Swift and 343 Bonnie Ross, head of Industries.
In addition, Louise O'Connor also said that 29.7% of Xbox's global core employees are women.
