Frontier Developments, the development studio for Planet Zoo and Jurassic World Evolution, has announced that the studio's latest production will be F1 Manager 2022.
The new management game will be released this summer on PC, PS4/5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
The game trailer was also released, with the promo saying: "F1 Team Manager 2022 will challenge you to play a key role in the world's most exciting motorsport." ”
"Become the head of any of the 10 teams, compete on the official track for multiple seasons, hire real-world drivers and engineers, expand the headquarters and build the next dominant force in F1."
Frontier Developments previously announced in March 2020 that the studio had been licensed to produce a series of Formula 1 management games. The license gives it production rights for four F1 seasons (2022 to 2025), provided the game meets the required performance threshold.
The UK developer said the F1 partnership creates "an exciting opportunity to combine Frontier's experience and capabilities, including its powerful and versatile Cobra game engine, with a rich management environment in the globally popular and ever-changing world of F1." ”
The license for F1 racing simulation games is currently held by Codemasters. The EA-owned studio has reached an agreement to make a racing game for F1 by 2025, with more options for the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
